I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

A brand new year 1955 and the first number one of that year was “Finger Of Suspicion” by Dickie Valentine on 8th January 1955 and stayed there for one week only.

He’s joined forces with those crazy, drunk Stargazers and it appears someone has stolen something from him. Well, if it was a bottle of gin then the finger of suspicion would quite rightly point at someone in the Stargazers.
