I thought I would take a stroll down Eurovision memory lane and remind myself of my first impressions of all the songs from 2014. Belarus placed 16th in the final.

Remember Robin Thicke and Blurred Lines? Okay, now remember it again and imagine it being sprinkled with a little Eurovision and then you have this year’s entry from Belarus called “Cheesecake”.

When it first started playing I thought yeah, here we go, this is going to be the “novelty” act of the year but when it had finished I knew this was one of the songs I would be playing over and over again and wouldn’t be able to get out of my head.

I love all kinds of cheesecakes and you don’t get much more cheesy than the Eurovision so perhaps Belarus and TEO are on to a winner here?

TEO’s enunciation isn’t the best and when he says “I don’t wanna be your toy perhaps today” I keep hearing something about a “tiny hamster”. Oh well, whether he has a massive hamster or a tiny hamster I don’t care – I like this!
