I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

The Poor People of Paris” by Winifred Atwell was Number One on 14th April 1956 and stayed there for three weeks.

A welcome return to the Grandma of ragtime and boogie woogie. Winnie can certainly work those fingers on the piano – it just makes me smile seeing how brilliantly happy she is. Love it!
