I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

Lay Down Your Arms” by Anne Shelton was Number One on 22nd September 1956 and stayed there for four weeks.

Anne done a fantastic job of keeping the troops entertained during WWII and also attempted to enter the Eurovision Song Contest.
