I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

Great Balls of Fire” by Jerry Lee Lewis was the first Number One of 1958 on 11th January and stayed at the top for two weeks.

Another classic rock and roll song but the less said about Jerry’s balls of fire and the fact that he married his 13-year-old cousin when he was 22 the better…
