I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

“Starry Eyed” by Michael Holliday was the first new Number One of the new decade on 30th January 1960 and stayed there for one week.

If I was him I wouldn’t be too much worried about being starry-eyed and more worried about the size of my nose…
