I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

“My Old Man’s A Dustman” by Lonnie Donegan was Number One on 2nd April 1960 and stayed there for four weeks.

The king of skiffle returns with a tribute to a dustman. He might have been smelly and covered in bin juice but Lonnie sure was proud of his daddy – love it!
