I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

“Shakin’ All Over” by Johnny Kidd & The Pirates was Number One on 9th July 1960 and stayed there for three weeks.

This song could actually be released by a current band and it would be a Number One I’m sure. They have certainly had an influence of many artists who have followed in the fifty years since this was a hit!
