I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

“Tower Of Strength”  by Frankie Vaughan was Number One on 9th December 1961 and stayed there for three weeks.

Mr Moonlight delivers another powerful performance but according to Gloria Lynne he really didn’t have to be a Tower Of Strength at all
