Sam Smith and John Legend have teamed up for a new version of the UK crooner’s single “Lay Me Down”. The pair reworked the In the Lonely Hour track for the British charity Comic Relief‘s biennial Red Nose Day.

Comic Relief seeks “to change the lives of poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged people across the UK and Africa.” Every two years, people don red clown noses as they “pull out all the stops” to raise money for the charity. The event culminates in the BBC One broadcast of a fundraiser featuring comedians and entertainment, including Smith and Legend’s one and only live performance of “Lay Me Down”.

Red Nose Day is this Friday, March 13th, but the single is available now. All profits from sale of the single will benefit Comic Relief, and Smith and Legend have forgone all royalties. You can check out the track below via its…
