I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

“Juliet” by The Four Pennies was Number One on 23rd May 1964 and stayed there for one week.

Although part of the British Invasion of the music world these guys never really hit the big time outside of the UK – no surprise really with songs like this that would send you to sleep.
