I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

“It’s Over” by Roy Orbison was Number One on 21st March 1964 and stayed there for two weeks.

I love this man’s voice. Let’s just hope that it’s not his hairspray that he is singing about being all over…how would his hair cope?
