The Voice UK on BBC isn’t usually a reality talent show I watch however I will be tuning in to see the final few weeks as there is someone close to home through to the final stages. There’s a guy called Stevie McCrorie who is a fireman from Alva – which is the village where I went to school and 3 miles away from the hometown in which I grew up. I’d really like for a local guy to do well!

Like I said I haven’t really been watching it but there was so much posts on my Facebook feed that I had to check him out so I had a look on YouTube and was blown away with his cover of Adele’s “Someone Like You”.

He’s got quite a strong accent and I really like when you hear little bits of it coming across when he sings. Listen to him taking on “Wrecking Ball”.

I then had to find out how he performed on his first audition on the voice to see if it lived up to these brilliant acoustic performances…and it so did! Watch the full clip and then listen to him perform…

I will be tuning in this weekend for sure and I am excited to see how he gets on in the quarter finals and what his competition is.

Good luck Stevie!

OMG – Pft me…
