I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

“The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore” by The Walker Brothers was Number One on 19th March 1966 and stayed there for four weeks.

There’s something about this song that, although it’s quite a sad song with sad lyrics, makes me feel quite happy within. It also make me feel nostalgic for some reason even though I wasn’t even born at the time. Great track!
