Bondurant is a pop artist based in Nashville who just released his new single, “Crazy People”.
I love the sound of his voice and this track is very infectious and anthemic. We all need to get a little bit crazy sometimes – right?
Bondurant always felt a natural pull to the arts and a particular love for music. Raised by a single mother, he quickly adopted Michael Jackson as his de-facto male role model after seeing “Smooth Criminal” on MTV, thus beginning a long and fruitful relationship with music. At age fifteen, Bondurant picked up the old family acoustic guitar that had been gathering dust and asked his stepfather to teach him how to play. The songwriter describes that experience as a turning point in life that was “a divine moment of clarity.” The endless possibility of musical creation pulled him in and he hasn’t looked back since.
Bondurant spent the rest of his youth and early adulthood practicing, writing and soon gracing many stages in his hometown of San Diego. He quickly became a major player in the local music scene, as well as one of the most sought after performers in the area, landing gigs at venues such as The House of Blues, The Hard Rock Hotel and The Belly Up Tavern. Feeling a need to branch out, Bondurant moved to Nashville where he has worked relentlessly and became artistically inspired by the music city.
Raw, original, and narrative in nature, Bondurant’s music sheds light on the angst, confusion, and elation that comes with the universal experiences that makes up the human condition. Sometimes an introvert and always an observer, Bondurant’s musical lens never fails to inspire, move, and simply make you stop and listen. “Crazy People” marks a new chapter in Bondurant’s career with electronic impulses and rock and roll instincts, which make his music absolutely addicting.
