The Christmas Office Party Playlist – An Alternative Mix-tape

The Christmas Office Party

It’s that time of year again where all the Christmas office parties will be in full swing. It’s usually the same songs that are played every year but that’s great because they are awesome. However, if I was asked to produce an “alternative” Christmas office party mix-tape – which songs would I include?

The Boy Least Likely To – “Happy Christmas, Baby”

Taken from their fantastic Christmas album this is pretty much on a loop in my house every Christmas.

The Puppini Sisters – “All I Want For Christmas”

A nice twist on the Mariah classic.

Mistletoe Masters – “Another Rock and Roll Christmas”

Sadly, this song isn’t played anymore because the original singer is a dirty old bastard but I still love the song and it reminds me of Christmas when I was little so I say we should start playing this version!

The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl – “Fairytale Of New York”

This already is played at every office party but it’s not a typical Christmas tune but I love it and it must be included on any Christmas playlist!

Kylie Minogue – “Everyday’s Like Christmas (Stock, Aitken & Waterman Remix)”

Although this was just released last year I know I will be playing it every year. It’s not the original mix but I love this one much more – a total throwback to 80’s UK music. I really hope it gets to number one in the charts for Christmas.

What about you, what songs would you include on an alternative Christmas office party mix-tape? Let us know in the comments below or tweet @PopAndTalk
