Kylie Christmas

Kylie Christmas

I’m usually the first to complain that Christmas starts far too early and by the time the day finally comes I am so fed up with it. However, a few years back it was still only November and I suddenly came over all Christmassy thanks to one lady!

Kylie Minogue had just released “Kylie Christmas” and it’s simply Christmas-licious! I played it on Spotify on the drive home one night and I was instantly in the Xmas Zone. I’ve never felt so festive, so early since I was of an age when I still believed in Santa.

The album started off with “It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year” and it immediately was!

Follow this with a duet with Frank Sinatra on “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” – well why wouldn’t you?

There’s a few more old fashioned classics such as “Let It Snow”, “Santa Baby” and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” but then to mix things up there’s also a few re-workings of modern classics like “Christmas Wrapping”, “2000 Miles” and the amazing “Only You“…

Finally, it wouldn’t be a new Kylie album without a few new songs and there are but this time they are new CHRISTMAS songs – HARK! Do I hear Herald’s angels singing? No, I hear “Every Day’s Like Christmas” written by Coldplay’s Chris Martin and “Christmas Isn’t Christmas ‘Til You Get Here” which is written by Ms. Minogue herself and is so Christmassy that it’s like Santa just, pardon the expression, ejaculated all over it…

There’s also the amazing Stock, Aitken & Waterman remix of “Everyday’s Like Christmas”…

The Snow Queen Edition

In 2016 Kylie decided to give us all another Christmas present and re-packaged this album with new songs! I really hope this is going to be a Christmas tradition EVERY YEAR!
