I think it’s fair to say that Tegan & Sara’s new album has a lot to live up to.

The duo’s 2013 LPHeartthrob is one of the best pop records from the past ten years (no understatement) and spawned genuine pop gem (Closer) after pop gem (I Was a Fool), so expectations for the Quin sisters’ upcoming album #8 Love You to Deathare unquestionably high ahead of its 3 June release.

Thankfully, we don’t have to wait that long for the first glimpse of new music and the teaser forBoyfriend- their first single from the new era which will be released on 6 April – seems to suggest that the girls are continuing down the shimmering synth pop route which catapulted the pair into international consciousness.
