Diamond Eyes

Is it possible for something vintage to feel so new?

That is the very feeling I had when I first heard that Diamond Eyes was releasing new music and when I listened to “Hum”, I felt classic Diamond Eyes blast through my speakers.

His return sparked a tear to steadily drop down to my cheek because “Hum” has the spirit of beauty and peace wrapped into its meaningful lyrics. With 5 words, Diamond Eyes is able to comfort me and assures me that home is never too far from me.

“Hum Hallelujah take us home” will become the phrase that we can say when we are feeling alone and feeling out of place.

The way Diamond Eyes proclaims it so elegantly through his vocals makes us want to chime in and sing it with him. Diamond Eyes goes back to his old way of using synthesizers and uses them to pound and make a statement. Perfectly timed, perfectly produced to emphasize the already great lyrical substance.

It is the feel good song of the year that we can either sing or hum to. Be sure to hum along by giving the track a listen below.
