STOP! LOOK! PLAYLIST! 30th April 2017

Most Played Song

The most played song by Steve at Talk About Pop Music this week was ‘Historyja Majho Zyccia (Story Of My Life)’ by NAVIBAND.

This is the entry from Belarus in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. It was one of the first of the 42 songs to be chosen and I pretty much loved it ever since I first heard it. It’s so cheery, they are both having the time of their lives and I love the fact it’s in their own language.

The Best Of The Rest

So, so many Eurovison songs this week because it is now less than 2 weeks until the Grand Final in Kyiv and I am so excited to be going to watch it live for the second year. I have published all my reviews of all the entries this year and I will be doing some prediction posts very soon. Although, I think you can tell from this list what some of my favourites are already.

Moving on from Eurovision there was a song I only heard for the first time this week which is ‘Thinking Of You’ by Elias. As soon as I heard the first words I was blown away by how awesome this young guy from Sweden’s voice is. It’s EPIC! You must listen!

Finally, let’s not forget Steps who narrowly missed out on the top spot of the UK album charts this week with their latest album ‘Tears On The Dancefloor’. The song ‘Neon Blue’ is by far one of my favourites on this album – it’s so GREAT to have Steps back!

I’d like to say a big thank you to Last.fm – without their service over the past ten years none of these stats would be possible each week!
