FRESH: Mia Martina - 'Sooner Or Later'

Mia Martina Shares ‘Sooner Or Later’

Internationally-renowned dance pop sensation and fiercely independent artist Mia Martina returns with a new video for her smash hit ‘Sooner or Later’ ft. Kent Jones.

The summer vibing track, along with an impressive list of accolades caught the attention of Ultra Records – the #1 indie dance/electronic label in the US. Sooner or Later has amassed over one million plays across streaming platforms, and was the most added and active radio single upon release. The song has seen major ads on stations across Canada and is the first single from her forthcoming EP set for a late 2017 release.

Sooner Or Later features Kent Jones (DJ Khaled/We The Best signee), who is known for his chart-topper Don’t Mind. Adding to the catchy summer jam is certified hit maker Don Corleon, a super producer who has previous credits with Sean Paul and Migos.

“I wanted to make a song that every single woman/man could relate too.” Mia continues, “You know there is always that one person. But it’s just never the right time and when you finally stop thinking about them. They magically just pop out again.”

What’s The Story about Mia Martina?

With a catalogue of energetic and endlessly-playable  romantic records to her name, Mia Martina is a force in the dance-pop scene. Best known for her  chart-topping hits, Mia’s debut smash “Stereo Love” became a worldwide sensation, reaching double platinum status and named a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 and a Top 20 hit on Ryan Seacrest’s American Top 40. She quickly followed this international  success with seductive Gold certified sing “Latin   Moon” which was licensed independently around the world.

Consecutive Gold single, “Burning,” earned her the Pop Songwriter of the Year title at the 2013 SOCAN Awards. The release of her debut album ‘Devotion’ came soon after accompanied by numerous award nominations including a Juno nod for Dance Recording of the Year, Canadian Radio Music Award Nomination for Latin Moon and MMVA nomination for Most Watched Video of the Year.

Mia released her mega-anticipated EP in 2015, earning her a second Juno nomination for Dance Recording of the Year. The self-titled record ‘Mia Martina’ took a more personal approach with Mia co-writing all of the songs, inspired by influence from her personal life, friends and traveling around  the  world. Gold singles include a collaboration with American singer Dev for “Danse,” dance hit “Heartbreaker” and “Beast ft. Waka Flocka Flame,” which was nominated for an MMVA for Best EDM/Dance video and performed live at the awards’ show in 2015, along with a nomination for “Danse” in 2014.

Hailing from Saint-Ignace, a tiny New Brunswick village in Canada of about 500 people, Mia began singing while still knee-high and spent her childhood driving back and forth to Moncton for piano and voice lessons. Following high school, the trilingual artist (English, French and Spanish) moved to Ottawa to attend Carleton University for her masters in psychology before starting an internship with local, growing music label CP Records. From intern to superstar – Mia Martina showed off her singing skills with backup work at the studio and was soon signed to the label herself.

An accomplished live performer, Mia has toured worldwide, performing over 200 shows in the US and internationally, sharing the stage alongside superstars such as Flo Rida, Snoop Dogg, and Pitbull. She has been billed for major award shows including the Juno Awards, SOCAN Awards and the 2015 Much Music Video Awards. With multiple deals around the world, Mia has seen massive international success beyond North America with her first album Devotion released in over 30 countries, reaching the Top 10 on iTunes in Japan, Greece, Turkey and Mexico.
