Grammy nominated Georgi Kay is a British-Australian artist based in LA who has received multiple awards for her original work, songwriting and collaborations over the years. Her new single Scary People is a statement about the current state of our world.
She intends to reach out to those who are desperate and suffering in their own way, letting them know that we must stay strong, fight that fire with fire and keep the love alive, burning always with the hardest flame.
‘Scary People’ is a dark, and hauntingly beautiful brooding anthem for all the lovers, fighters, strugglers and martyrs within us.
Georgi wanted the synths and bass to sound like sonic manifestations of the films ‘Alien’ and ‘Blade Runner’.
In essence, ‘Scary People’ is about the current state of our world. Inspired by menacing political leaders and their selfless agendas, twisted corporations, war, violence, racial hate, sexual harassment, exploited religions… just to name a few.
