TOP OF THE POPS: October 29th, 1987

Bringing Back Top Of The Pops

BBC One have launched a new Friday night music show and in my opinion it just doesn’t hit the spot.

The BBC need to realise what people actually want is a ‘new and updated’ version of Top Of The Pops’ as opposed to a new music/chat/sketch show

Here at Talk About Pop Music every Friday we are going to remind everyone just how great Top Of The Pops was!

Each week there will be a new playlist featuring the performances and videos from an episode of  Top Of The Pops that first aired 30 years ago.

There will also be the famous chart countdown, of course. All in wonderful VHS quality for your nostalgic pleasure!

Obviously, this will be subject to what I can find on YouTube but what a great walk down musical memory lane, right?
