Most Played Song

The most played song by Steve at Talk About Pop Music this week was ‘George and Andrew‘ by The Boy Least Likely To.

This song is about George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley and it has been a favourite of mine at Christmas for a number of years now. This year it takes on a whole new meaning!

Don’t forget to give the whole album a listen to.

The Best Of The Rest

There are quite a few Cher songs in here this week. Why? Well aside from the fact that she is awesome we have just booked tickets to go and see her in Vegas when we go in January! Can’t wait is an understatement!

Spotify have just released their ‘Most Played Songs’ playlists for users but I have refrained from looking yet as I always use my stats to produce my end of year playlist on December 31st of each year. I always get really excited about it and I suspect Julia Michaels will appear a lot this year. I am loving her collaboration with Clean Bandit right now.

Who will be this year’s Christmas Number One in the UK. I have a strong feeling that it might be ‘Perfect Duet’ by Ed Sheeran and Beyonce but I am hoping it will be ‘Last Christmas’ by WHAM!

If you’re a music artist or music promoter and have a song to be featured in either of these locations get in touch by Twitter @PopAndTalk or email

I’d like to say a big thank you to – without their service over the past ten years none of these stats would be possible each week!
