The Israel song is called ‘Toy‘ and performed by Netta Barzilai.

ARTIST

Netta Barzilai was born on 22 January 1993 in Hod Hasharon. At an early age, she moved with her family to Nigeria where she lived for four years and eventually returned to Israel. Prior to her mandatory enlistment to the Israeli Defense Forces, she volunteered for a year in the Nahal and later served in the Israeli Navy Band.

SONG

The track is written by Doron Medalie and is riding on the coat-tails of the #MeToo campaign – empowering the female of the species.

OPINION

A very wiser decision considering the current climate to enter a song that empowers women. I LOVE it and it is one of my favourites! Netta is a brilliant mashup of Beth Ditto and Nikki Minaj and is super talented! I can’t wait to see this being performed live! LOVE IT!

PREDICTION

This is undoubtedly going to qualify and will absolutely finish in the Top 5. In fact I could even go as far as saying – see you in Israel in 2019!
