FRESH: ‘Flavours Of A Messed Up Mind’ – Samuel

Brighton based singer and songwriter Samuel releases a collection of previously unheard demos!

by Christopher Smith

Brighton based singer and songwriter Samuel has released a collection of previously unheard demo tracks for us in a new EP entitled “Flavours Of A Messed Up Mind”.

Samuel (Sam Milletti) burst onto the music scene earlier this year with his debut, self-titled EP featuring five outstanding tracks that have proved a big hit. Now Samuel has made this collection of five unreleased demo tracks available, and they certainly make you stop and listen.

Samuel explains the reason why he has done this so early into his career. “For the last three and a half years I have been putting my heart and soul into writing music. I usually write at least one song a day and most of my songs I fully produce on my own too, however I never do anything with the majority of them.”

“They remain on my hard drive and never see the light of day. This is why I have decided to release this EP of Demos. Forget the technical side. Yes, I know they’re not perfect. Vocals aren’t properly tuned, instruments could do with better EQing etc etc. It’s not about that”.

“Releasing these songs shows you my process, the different stages a song goes through to get finished. I love these songs and have had some kicking around for well over two years and I think it’s only fair that I get to release them into the world. As these songs are not complete they are just flavours on offer, flavours of a messed up mind. My mind”.

Since the release of “Samuel” earlier this Summer, Sam has been ‘ferociously’ working on new material that he tells us is “fresh and progressive, whist still building on the sound I have established with my first EP”.
And we simply cannot wait!

Samuel is playing at Synthetic City London 2018 Reloaded, a fabulous live music event presenting ten of the finest modern synth-based acts from around the world, on September 22nd. Tickets are available from Abnormal Productions website.
