British singer Yasmin Jane releases her second single “Come A Little Closer”.
Singer Yasmin Jane has just released her second single “Come A Little Closer”, the follow up to “Cute You Think That”, both with an engaging energetic electro-pop sound and definitely sounding fresh and very now! “Come A Little Closer” has already gained solid support from the BBC and was made BBC Introducing record of the week.
Lightheartedly and ironically touching on feminist issues with her own brand of ‘girl power lite’, her debut single “Cute You Think That” speaks from a relatable female perspective of wanting to look and feel great, but men thinking the effort is for their benefit. “Come A Little Closer” the follow up single is a fun upbeat track about feeling powerless knowing a relationship is coming to the end, but looking back on the good times. Themes such as these give Yasmin Jane a relatable and significant connection between her and her audience, and from this her fandom grows.
Her first single was positively received by critics being described as a “clearly captivating” song that brings out the best in pop music, with ‘Enticing Husky Sweet pop vocals like Robyn’. Yasmin prides herself on writing meaningful lyrics that are mixed with big, catchy choruses guaranteed to stick with you. Delving into the depths of electronic and atmospheric synths, Yasmin Jane has the world at her fingertips.
