‘The Rain’

“Siblings emerge from the safety of their bunker six years after a rain-carried virus wipes out almost everyone in Scandinavia; they join a group of survivors and set out on a dangerous quest through the abandoned land, searching for signs of life.”

I have to admit I do love a good post apocalyptic drama and the fact that this is a Scandi drama makes me think it’s going to be even better.

The fact that it will be subtitled should not put you off – I learned this lesson from watching the epic drama ‘Dark‘.

THE SONGS

The song featured in the trailer is ‘Deliverance (Rain On Me)‘ by Erick Serena and The Killing Floor.

I was hoping for great things from this show and also some fantastic songs. I wasn’t disappointed on either counts and I binged watched all episodes in one day. I really hope there will be a second season!

Here at Talk About Pop Music we also like to include songs that we feel fit the theme of the show.

The latest additions to this playlist include:

‘Plans’ – Boulevarde

‘What The World Hides’ – Sfanto

‘Into Space’ – CAS

‘Next To You’ – Helga Arvesten

Don’t forget to listen to and follow the full playlist.
