Daniel Pearson returns with “Born In A Satellite Town”.
An emotive singer-songwriter with a compelling voice, Daniel Pearson draws on rock, country and folk influences to craft timeless songs with the authenticity of a true artist. Over the course of two acclaimed albums and numerous singles, he’s switched between earthy Americana, beautiful indie-folk and fuzz-driven garage-blues, all unified by a knack for instinctive melodies and poetic hooks.
In 2018, Daniel released a string of new singles in place of a traditional album or EP. These songs went on to feature prominently on Spotify Folk and singer-songwriter playlists and racked up millions of streams. This year he released “Join The Masquerade” and has followed that up with his latest heartfelt and sublime number “Born In A Satellite Town”.
Influenced by genre heavyweights Bob Dylan, REM and Bruce Springsteen as well as 00’s alt rock and the millennial folk revival, Daniel’s warm and immediate songs have been playlisted on key radio stations in the UK, USA and Australia. A compelling live performer, Pearson has wowed audiences on tours of the UK and USA. He’s also supported Mumford and Sons, Michael Kiwanuka, Frank Turner, The Felice Brothers, Caitlin Rose and Willy Mason, played numerous festivals and heard his music soundtracking TV shows around the world.
Daniel burst onto the scene in 2012 with his debut album “Mercury State” and followed this with “Alone, Together” in 2015. He has since followed this with a number of one-off singles including “Hymn For The Hopeless”, “Until The Sun Comes Up” and more recently, “Waves In The Sea”. Daniel cites his influences as ranging from Bruce Springsteen, Nirvana, REM, Bob Dylan, The National, The Beatles and Ryan Adams to name a few. He has been described as “A talent of staggering promise” with the ability of “A masterclass in blurring the personal and the universal”.
