If you said 11 – well done. According to some sources you would be correct! According to others pop music is simply what’s ‘popular’. That’s fine but I need to categorize things ok!

What are they I hear you ask? Well, click here for a quick rundown together with definitions, some sample songs and a full Spotify playlist, then check out the latest songs that have just been added to the awesome playlist below

‘Welcome (I Miss You)’ – JIGI

‘Anxiety’ – Pasquale Gee

Pasquale Gee is a Singer-Songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. His soulful love ballads and heartbreak anthems have lead him to become one of the most promising newcomers out of NYC.

‘Love Letter’ – Luco, Moon

Luco is a DJ/Producer who started at the age of 11. He is based in a small village in the Netherlands near Utrecht. He was born on the second of June 2000.

When he was only 11 years old it all started. This because his older nephew just got a new DJ-set. First his nephew did all the music during friends and family parties but soon after when he saw him playing he wanted to play the music. That’s when his nephew told him how to DJ and that’s how it started.

He got to high school and was already DJ-ing. In high school he met a friend who knew how famous DJs like Martin Garrix and Afrojack made their music. The program was called fl studio. He started making music in the software and every day he learned something new and got better.

‘Oh, Doctor’ – dolorifics

Dolorifics from Gothenburg, Sweden, has been around since 2016. After playing together in various constellations for almost a decade Erik Löfving, Christoffer Anderson and brothers Olle and Kalle Mossberg over time realised that they share an ambition for aimlessly throwing their time and money away into the black hole that is rock’n’roll. The 2016 EP “Excessive Self-Pity” and a couple of tours around Europe later, Dolorifics signed to Nasty Cut Records and are releasing their first full-length early 2020!

‘Not Enough’ – Hudson Keown

Hudson Keown is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, arranger, composer and producer, based in Anaheim, California. He is currently a senior at Arizona State University, studying both music and journalism. He lives and performs in Phoenix, AZ most of the year, but has spent the past few summers in Southern California recording his debut album.

‘Light The Way’ – Tobe Baer

Born in 1991 to a German Mother and Canadian Father, he grew up amongst his international family, living all over the world (Canada, California, India, Germany), Tobe Baer was exposed to a variety of influences. The son of two musicians, he began singing and writing his own songs at a young age. In fact, the guitar he still carries today was a special gift from his father.

In 2010, at the age of 18, he began recording demos at his brother’s recording studio. However, it was not until nearly 7 years later, after graduating with honors and a BA in Bioengineering from UC Santa Cruz, and with 3 years of special education teaching under his belt, that he realized that his one true calling was to make music. He dropped everything and moved to the south German Alps, literally living in his brother’s studio for nearly a year singing, playing, recording, and perfecting his craft as a songwriter and producer. In 2018, Tobe Baer moved to Brooklyn, where he currently resides.  Tobe Baer is currently preparing to tour for the release of Light the Way.

‘That’s The Trip I’m On Right Now’ – Tiny Tiny

Tiny Tiny began in 2014 as a side project for American songwriter Boone Williams. From his apartment in Somerset, Kentucky, Williams recorded and released a slew of demos, eventually catching the ear of producer/DJ/A&R man Nick Coleman of Melbourne, Australia. Coleman signed Williams to his record label post haste and since then Tiny Tiny has performed their unique brand of pop in clubs and at music festivals in America as well as receiving radio and television airplay worldwide.

In the late summer of 2019 Williams gathered with two close friends, multi-instrumentalist Phil Claunch and guitarist Aaron Todd to write, record, and perform what would eventually become their forthcoming release, the Stripes EP which is set for release in December 2019 on Definition Of Records. The new outfit strays somewhat from previous Tiny Tiny releases, stretching out into new yet familiar musical territories, all the while being anchored by the pop sensibility that Williams has defined Tiny Tiny throughout. The trio have been performing Stripes as well as new material in America and plan to tour in early 2020.
