FRESH: ‘Can’t Say (Word Like That)’ – Drew Schueler

Drew Schueler returns with “Can’t Say (Word Like That)”

Drew Schueler – who we featured recently with his song “Paradise” – has just released his first new track of 2020, “Can’t Say (Word Like That)”. The song describes the fear of telling someone you love them for the first time. It focuses on unrequited or one-sided love, a universal and frequent subject in pop culture. The song considers the anxiety of potential rejection from expressing these true feelings.

“Can’t Say (Word Like That)” was selected as a top 10 finalist for the 2020 NSAI Song Contest presented by CMT and Martin Guitars, while “Paradise” was featured on multiple playlists and blogs such as Reignland Mag., Popmuzik, and, (cough) talkaboutpopmusic.com! The song was shared across social platforms by influencers like Juliana Hale, and Grow with Jo. Drew played a release show on 28th February in Nashville and a live performance booked on the TV show, Today In Nashville.

Drew is a pop artist in Nashville. He play multiple instruments and produce music everyday. He told us: “I’m borderline obsessed with buying gear for my studio. Consequently, I’m borderline broke! I’ve played a bunch of cool shows for other artists. I’ve opened for some of my favorite bands. I’m pretty good at Fortnite. I like bourbon, but not too much. I thank God everyday that I get to make music”. Keep doing what you’re doing Drew. And have a drink on us!
