Craig Cooney feels “Young Forever”
Craig Cooney is back with his brand new single, “Young Forever”. Recorded in Windmill Lane Studios by engineer and producer Cormac Kavanagh, it will be his first release since signing with Fluttertone earlier this year. The song is a laid-back, chilled track in which Craig reminisces and reflects on his childhood. With its mellow vibe and catchy chorus, it is sure to strike an emotional chord with listeners and take them on a trip down memory lane.
It’s a track that can be enjoyed driving in your car, unwinding on you own or while enjoying a get-together with friends and family. A wide range of instruments makes it a foot-tapping, head-nodding track. A young choir also features throughout, giving a fuller sound to an already beautiful song.
Craig tells us “Being an adult with children of my own, I find a lot of people lose touch with their former selves and the memories that made us in to the men and women we are today. I wrote ‘Young Forever’ for the people who want to reflect on the best years of their lives, where we were all carefree and truly felt Young Forever, I want people to press play on this song when they want to press pause on life and go on a journey for the three-minute running time”.
Craig is a 26 year old rapper, singer songwriter from Kildare. In 2018, when Craig was having a few drinks he did a five minute freestyle that blew up in a matter of days from being uploaded amassing over 187,000 views worldwide. He decided to set up Craig Cooney Music on Facebook which, since its inception, has gained a loyal fan base of over 5.5k people from all over the world, which continues to grow everyday. When the page was set up he joined forces with Wave Recording Studios and Wilsain Media to add the much needed professional touch and be a part of a strong, supportive team.
Craig takes pride in his music and writes about experiences that hes been through and what he finds relatable. he adds “I’m a very shy person if I don’t know someone, I would describe myself as quite reserved, not really one to tell people how I feel, when I rap I find it easy to let the true me out, the one that isn’t shy and tell people how I feel through my music, its almost like it’s an alter ego of mine”.
