British singer and songwriter Laura Valentine releases her second ever single, “Falling For You”, today with gorgeous, sweet-as-sweet vocals and a sublime, down-tempo pop/R&B soundtrack.
“Falling For You” is quintessentially a love song, where Laura lays her heart on the line and just wants the world to know how she feels and how special it feels to be in the moment with her constant repetition of “girl I’m falling for you”.
Laura says: “It is a clichéd Taylor Swift-esque love song but where the romance is between two women. With explicitly queer lyrics and artwork. With ‘Falling For You’, I have decided to use my own voice to create the type of LGBT representation in pop music that I have always craved”.
Laura is a London-based singer/songwriter originally from Madrid. Born into a family of musicians, music was always her passion and for that reason she decided to move to London in 2017 to study a degree in Vocal Performance at the Academy of Contemporary Music London. Laura release her debut single, “Desires”, last year and builds on that success with her beautiful new track, “Falling For You”. The single was recorded in the Summer of 2020 in London, it was produced by Louis Takooree and mixed and mastered by Krzysztof Kessler.
