Nashville based artist Tyler Rayn releases his second single of 2021, “Crossfire”, today, the follow up to “Do It Again” and a taster of his upcoming debut album.
“Crossfire” is a power pop ballad with the bare minimum of orchestration, relying purely on Tyler’s passionate and stunning vocal to carry the song and the story it tells.
Tyler told us recently of the song: “‘Crossfire’ was written by me at a time when I didn’t know how I was going to get through a current situation I was in. I was lost and I was scared if I didn’t get through it I would totally lose myself. It was the darkest time and also the biggest turning point in my life towards something beautiful. Sometimes you gotta just keep holding on and this song is about that. Not letting people tear you down and remembering who you are and your values as a person. Today I stand undefeated and proud of who I am”.
Tyler’s output has been nothing short of dedicated since his debut release, “Is That Alright?”, in 2018. 2020 saw his hit “Better That Way” turn up multiple times with mixers Grant Fisher, Zephyr and K-Rez to name a few, while he closed the year with a duet with California singer MISY, “Voodoo”. Tyler kicked off 2021 with the catchy “Do It Again”, a Summer anthem for the dark, cold winter nights if ever there was. With “Crossfire”, Tyler takes the tone down as he lays his heart on the line, and it really shows both lyrically and vocally. This is outstanding!
