I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

“King Of The Road” by Roger Miller was Number One on 15th May 1965 and stayed there for one week. I love this song and everytime I’m out in the car and I see a sign that says “trailers for rent” I always break out into song.

Scottish duo, The Proclaimers, do a fantastic cover of this song too.
