I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

“Mr Tambourine Man” by The Byrds was Number One on 24th July 1965 and stayed there for two weeks.

This is brilliant and was one of the first songs that really got me looking more into the sixties music.

 

Although every time I hear it I always get reminded of a scene from the sitcom One Foot In The Grave
