I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.
“Tears” by Ken Dodd was Number One on 2nd October 1965 and stayed there for five weeks.
Best known for being a comedian and an acquired taste – if you don’t like feather and dusters or puppets then you won’t like Ken. I do find him funny sometimes and he does actually have a pretty good singing voice!
