I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

“The Carnival Is over” by The Seekers was Number One on 27th November 1965 and stayed there for three weeks.

I get that this should probably be a sad song judging by the lyrics but there’s just something about the way this group perform that they could probably sing anything and it would make me feel warm inside!
