Eurovision 2015 is almost upon us and now that all the countries have chosen their singers and song let’s give them the once-over. The Portuguese song is called “Há Um Mar Que Nos Separa” and is performed by Leonor Andrade.
Another ex Voice contestant! Leonor’s musical instrument of choice is the piano so no surprises but I’m expecting a ballad. I’m always usually a big fan of Portugal so let’s see if this year will be any different.
Firstly – not a ballad! Secondly, I love the countries that still choose to still in their own language. Thirdly – is she a much rockier lookalike of Cheryl or what? I love this – you haven’t let me down Portugal!

And the rain falls down
On the city streets
Something’s missing deep inside of meI try to straighten up
No will to do it at all
I’m not myself
If you’re not aroundIf it’s the sea that separates us
I will dry it with longing
And press you against my chest
In a kiss made of yearningI still have
Your hands on my face
And the taste of honey
Of your mouthCrazy was the night
When I met you
Sad was the dawn
When I lost youIf it’s the sea that separates us
I will dry it with longing
And press you against my chest
In a kiss made of yearningIf it’s the sea that separates us
I will dry it with longing
And press you against my chest
In a kiss made of yearning
Good luck Leonor!
