I have a playlist that contains every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs. 

“This Is My Song” by Petula Clark was Number One on 18th February 1967 and stayed there for two weeks.

Nicknamed “the First Lady of the British Invasion” Petula Clark’s songs are the sound of the 60s for me. Although I wasn’t too familiar with this particular song I love the “sunny-ness” of it and I can imagine listening to it in the UK during the 60s when it was pouring of rain all summer while dreaming of warmer climates
