I want to review every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.
“Everlasting Love” by Love Affair was Number One on 3rd February 1968 and stayed there for two weeks.
This is a brilliant song and I always thought that it had been a seventies song. It does sort of have a pre-disco feel to it though.
I’m also quite ashamed to admit that this was one of the first introductions I had to this song…
