I want to review every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.
“The Legend of Xanadu” by Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich was Number One on 23rd March 1968 and stayed there for one week.
I know of three songs with the word Xanadu in the title and this is probably the one I least enjoy. I love the band name and it’s good staging but not really my thing.
