Every UK Number One Song: Congratulations

I want to review every UK number one song since charts began in 1952. Thanks to EveryHit, this is a fairly simple process. Let’s remind ourselves of these songs.

“Congratulations” by Cliff Richard was Number One on 13th March 1968 and stayed there for two weeks.

One of Sir Cliff’s most popular song…and it only finished second in Eurovision! Almost half a century later, let’s ask Cliff if entering Eurovision ruined his career shall we? I suspect he would disagree and that there’s possibly allegedly other things on the horizon that could ruin his career but that’s a different story.
