Let’s remind ourselves of these songs. 

Welcome to 1969 – the final year of the Swinging Sixties and the first number one of the new year was “Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da” by Marmalade

This song was originally recorded by The Beatles but it was never released as a single in the UK so I’m glad Marmalade decided to cover it.

It’s such a cheery song but as well as that it’s a brilliant storytelling song.
