Eurovision 2016 is almost upon us and as the countries begin to reveal their entries let’s start giving them the once-over. The Croatia song is called “Lighthouse” and is performed by Nina Kraljić
ARTIST
Nina is best known for winning season one of The Voice – Najljepši glas Hrvatske
She was born in Lipovljani, Croatia on 1 January 1992. Her first TV appearance was in 2009 when she entered the Croatian version of Got Talent. She placed tenth in the final stage of the competition.
SONG
The song was written by Andreas Grass and Nikola Paryla from Austria, and it was produced by Thorsten Brötzmann in Germany. The song will be included on Nina’s first album, which will be released by Universal Music.

OPINION
Nina has a voice that kind of reminds me of Ellie Goulding – very lazy singing and breathy which is by no means a bad thing. The song isn’t too bad but I was waiting for something that just didn’t come. I’m not sure it has anything special that makes me want to hear it again.
PREDICTION
This will qualify and I expect it to get a lot of votes.
