E.Parker unveils her stunning new single “Girl”.
Today, UK via Australia moody pop chanteuse E.PARKER (f.k.a. PARKER) unveils her stunning new single “Girl”. Teaming up once again with producer Gethin Pearson (ALMA, Kele Okereke) the single sees E.PARKER continue to take her sultry pop sound to new heights, pairing her etherial and broody vocals with haunting melodies taking blood from the vein of storytelling raconteur Lana Del Rey with lyrics of undulated decadence and masochistic obsession.
When discussing the inspiration for “Girl”, E.PARKER explains “I wrote this track mostly about a girl I was really fascinated by and I think it’s the first time I’ve written lyrics that focus more on my inner fantasy world than reality. Although for me, I hope the larger message of the track that people take away is the Girl, you have so much time ahead of you, so what are you going to do?’…because you can do anything.”
The single precedes the release of her single “Godspeed”, released in late 2018 and her debut EP “The Life Illusion”, which included the single “High” that landed a coveted spot on Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlist and “Thighs”, her breakout track that has already racked up over 250K streams and landed her a synch on MTV’s Catfish. Hailed by Breaking More Waves as “midnight menacing electronic pop music” with HillyDilly adding “expect a bright future for her”, the 21-year-old musician songstress is one to keep your eyes on for 2019.
Born in Doncaster, brought up in Australia, and now living in Hackney, E.PARKER has had anything but a conventional life. Saying her goodbyes to her family in Australia and buying a one way ticket to England to focus on her music career, she hasn’t looked back since. Spending much of 2018 writing and recording new material and now with an EP and more incredible new songs under belt, E.PARKER remains one of the most exciting new artists to emerge in recent years, ready to show the world what this Aussie is made of.
