Lithuanian pop artist Jazzu releases her self-titled debut album.
“Lullaby” is taken from Lithuanian pop artist Jazzu’s self-titled debut album which is out now. Jazzu is the music alias of Juste Arlauskaite who has been singing Jazz since the age of 13.
As a soloist, Jazzu started to sing with big-bands and various jazz projects all around Lithuania and abroad. Juste has performed at numerous jazz festivals such as Kaunas jazz, Vilnius jazz, Vilnius band, Birstonas jazz,etc. (Lithuania); Rainbow jazz (Estonia) and jazz festivals in Germany.
Jazzu has won grand prix at jazz competitions like International jazz musician competition and Sing Up. At the age of 15-16, she became a member of the group called Milky Lasers. They have released two albums called “Voyage” and “Kitchen” (published by phazz-a-delics). In 2005 Juste met a producer Leon Somov, with whom she started to collaborate with. That’s how she got involved into electronic music and started to create and sing this kind of music. Later on, Juste and Leonas left Lithuania and moved to London (where Juste is still studying jazz vocal).
Within a year http://www.sutemos.net released their first EP called “EP Offline”. Later “EP Offline Remixed” showed up. Many well known producers had remixed their tracks: Joel Tammik, Sleepy Town Manufacture, Monoceros, IJO, am boy, etc. In 2008 Leon Somov and Jazzu had released their first video clip called “Mano” (made by ‘geri filmai’). Leon Somov feat. Jazzu started to perform live. Two great musicians have joined them (Marijus Aleksa-drums,Domas Aleksa-bass).
The team has toured in Lithuania, UK, Germany. Then in 2008 Jazzu started to collaborate with two great artists – Mario Basanov and VIDIS and in 2008 they had released track called “I’ll Be Gone”. It became the most popular hit of the year and the most-watched Lithuanian clip on YouTube ever! After the successful feat. release, the team decided to record another track called “Who’s Shot The Silence”.
