Carly Rae Jepsen releases “Now That I Found You”/”No Drug Like Me”.

We give a shout out to Carly Rae Jepsen as often as we can. The “Emotion” album of 2015 remains a highlight and whilst the ‘record-buying’ public have been somewhat immune to her charms since the huge hit “Call Me Maybe” the critics recognised the pop majesty of “Emotion” and the 2017 single “Cut To The Feeling” appeared in many critic top tens.
Her songs often appear simple bubblegum pop with a nursery rhyme melody, but they really deserve much closer inspection. In preparation for her fourth album Carly Rae released “Party For One” last year, but two more singles have just appeared. “Now That I Found You” revisits similar territory to the “Emotion” hits, but that’s no bad thing. It’s got a lovely video of Carly Rae and the love of her life – her moggy.
The other track is “No Drug Like Me” which is a more subdued and darker single in the ilk of ‘your type’. It’s a real grower!
