US artist Treis showcases “Pleasure” from his latest album “Homesick”.
Treis or “Treis and Friends”, is a conceptual singer-songwriter artist from Orlando, Florida. Led by frontman Treis Alexander, the artist documents the events of his life through music, as well as multi-perspective narratives using suburbia and classicalism as icons in his story.
Treis’ style varies greatly from album to album; the debut “Houses” (2016) was a very quiet, instrumentally stripped, and lyrically heavy project that focused mostly on the nostalgia and innocence of childhood, while the follow up project “Homesick” has taken a more funk/pop sound, and focused more on ‘lyrical feelings’ rather than the storyteller writing featured on the first album.
“Pleasure” is a track from the album “Homesick”, released last year and is perfect lounge/chill music with an infectious beat and rhythm, coupled with Treis’ soothing and almost innocent vocals. 2018 was a busy year for Treis, together with the album “Homesick”, he also released the EP “Plastic Love”.
Treis tells us that “Pleasure” is a popular live song to perform and a definite fan favourite. More recently, Treis has released the new track “Tell Me” from the “Plastic Love” EP with Alex Canon, a fellow Orlando based r&b/jazz/house/pop/funk artist.
