Canadian singer Roman Clarke releases his debut album “Scorcher”.
Roman Clarke takes gospel harmony, modern R&B, and the oblivious charm of the 1970’s and rolls it all into a genre that is becoming of his inherently nostalgic generation. The young Manitoban’s songs come across with a sort of cheekiness and energy that only someone of such youth could create.
This flavour of song that Roman has decided to offer up to his community doesn’t usually surface in the musical landscape of rural Manitoba, and will no doubt stand out among the rest. Roman’s prolific catalogue is a reflection of his hardworking prairie roots, but the groove that comes through in his music borrows from influences far wider than his rural Manitoban upbringing would hint at.
Taken from his debut album “Scorcher”, Roman has released single “What Are We Gonna Do?” which blurs the lines between pop and R&B by using his unique voice to tell a story over a track with a thick beat and an uplifting synth arrangement.
